CHRISTOPHER GEROCK FLUTE

Christopher Gerock was born at the end of the 18th Century in Germany and established his London shop around 1805 at 76 Bishops Gate. This example of his fine craftsmanship and incredible attention to detail has survived the centuries in amazing condition. It was crafted at his 76 Bishops Gate shop and is clearly marked with his unmistakable unicorn logo. The wood is finely grained boxwood, all body rings, crown and cork position indicator are ivory The key work is block-mounted, sterling silver and each is equipped with a floating pewter plug finely fitted to a silver tone hole insert. The embouchure is delicately oval and it is now fully playable and sounds sweetly down to its low C.
